FBI, NYPD resume search for Etan Patz, who went missing in 1979
Police and the FBI are back at the lower New York City location where Etan Patz went missing in 1979, NBCNewYork.com reported.
Two law enforcement officials confirmed the search of a building in the SoHo area Thursday was related to Patz’s disappearance. The officials would not provide details on why they were back at the location.
Patz was six years old when he disappeared on May 25, 1979, touching off one of the most high-profile missing child cases in New York history. He was the first child ever to be shown on the side of a milk carton, and President Ronald Reagan declared May 25 National Missing Child Day in his honor.
